CHRME ("we", "us", "the app") is a training community for endurance athletes.
This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices
you have. By using CHRME you agree to this policy.
Information you provide
Account details — email address and password (passwords are
stored only in hashed form by our authentication provider), and profile
information you choose to add: name, username, hometown, bio, sport, profile
photo, date of birth, and social links (e.g. Instagram, Strava).
Content you create — posts, photos, event listings, RSVPs,
comments, cheers, likes, bookmarks, group posts, and event check-ins.
Cheers — when someone sends you a cheer through your personal
cheer link, we collect the sender's name, an optional email or phone number they
provide, their message, and any voice note or photo they attach.
Information collected automatically
Device & usage — basic device information needed to run the
app and, if you enable notifications, a push-notification token.
We do not sell your personal information.
How we use your information
To provide core features — your feed, profiles, events, groups, messaging, and cheers.
To deliver notifications you have opted into.
To keep the service secure and to prevent abuse.
To respond to your support requests.
How information is shared
Other users — your profile and the content you post are visible
according to the audience you choose (everyone, followers, or close friends).
Private cheers are visible only to the recipient.
Service providers — we use Supabase for database, storage,
authentication and hosting. When push notifications are enabled we use Apple
(APNs) and Google (Firebase Cloud Messaging) to deliver them. These providers
process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy terms.
Legal — we may disclose information if required by law.
Data storage & security
Your data is stored on secured cloud infrastructure and transmitted over encrypted
(HTTPS) connections. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we
take reasonable measures to protect your information.
Your choices & rights
You can view and edit your profile information in the app at any time.
You can delete your posts, and remove cheers you have received.
You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us
at the email below. We will delete your data except where we are required to
retain it by law.
Children
CHRME is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal
information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information,
contact us and we will remove it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by
updating the "Last updated" date above.
